Peace for Jonah
Tripoli

Silence... all was peace as a power that assumes ships, tucks you in under it's rolling waves. The noise of confusion dissolves into silence. The world is far away and the ocean gives time for your rolling thoughts to pool into plans undisturbed.
It understands your need, and when you dive down into the folds of it's robes, it hides you from yesterday, tomorrow and all of the problems that they hold. Stay here for now, but those loving arms can only be visited for a short time, for they also envelope ships never to be seen again.
Thump... My foot takes a fine grip on the sandy bottom and I push off, gliding up two and a half meters of clear blue water, to the fresh morning air above. The coral outcropping that surrounds the island is like the brim on a bowler hat. It stands as a solid wet cliff just a few inches under water. If you look down into the waves you can see little schools of fish playing between rocks on the sandy bottom. But cast your gaze to the island's interior and you will understand more fully why I take refuge under the covers where no man can abide.
Come... let us climb over the sharp coral wall and see where bottles and bags line the rocks. If you go to the sandy beach, descry the shards of glass that glisten like a sleeping sentries armor. Thus presenting you with this opportunity, I will climb up and out just to dive back in to the rolling sea.
PS... The sea asked me to tell you that you may stay and visit, but that when you leave, if you would kindly pick up a bag or two on your way out, it would be much appreciated. For you see, we may escape the cares of the world for the moment, but after that moment we need to work to help someone else too.
